Loofah Soap
Handmade in small batches in my Minnesota kitchen, this Loofah Soap contains Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Locally Sourced Minnesota Goat Milk, Unrefined Organic Coconut Oil, RSPO Certified Sustainable Palm Oil, Food-Grade Sodium Hydroxide, Castor Oil, and Sunflower Oil.
It’s currently available in two types, Lavender and Beachy. The Lavender Loofah Soap also contains Distilled Water, Lavender Essential Oil, Brazilian Purple Clay, Alkanet Root, and Organic Dried Lavender Flowers, and the Beachy Loofah Soap also contains Fragrance Oil (Paraben & Phthalate Free) and Mica.
The scent of the Beachy Loofah Soap will remind you of an afternoon at the spa, with a fresh mix of bergamot, lily of the valley, dewy greens, water, ozone, lavender, eucalyptus, cedarwood, oakmoss, resin, and musk.
To make this soap, US-grown luffa slices are placed in a round single-cavity mold, and then the soap batter is poured over and around the loofah. Creating the bar of soap in this way will help you gently exfoliate while you bathe. Luffa is a natural sponge grown from a plant in the gourd family, it is not an animal product nor is it sourced from the ocean.
I just love making these! They aren’t the prettiest, but I think it’s so cool how the soap forms around the luffa slice, which makes a built in exfoliant.
Soap bars are 1″ thick and approximately 3.75 ounces each.
