Earthy and aromatic, Cobalt Earth Tallow Soap combines bergamot, patchouli, and cedarwood with a striking blend of Cambrian blue clay, indigo, and activated charcoal.
The essential oil blend starts with bright bergamot, followed by earthy patchouli and warm cedarwood for a fresh, woodsy scent.
About This Soap:
Handcrafted in small batches in my Minnesota kitchen, this soap uses locally sourced beef tallow as its only oil, along with locally sourced Minnesota goat’s milk. Unlike my regular soap recipe, it contains no coconut or palm oil, making it a simple alternative for those looking for a tallow-based bar or a different kind of soap experience.
The combination of Cambrian blue clay, indigo powder, and activated charcoal creates the distinctive gray, blue, and black swirls in each bar.

Ingredients: Locally Sourced Beef Tallow, Locally Sourced Minnesota Goat’s Milk, Food-Grade Sodium Hydroxide, Sunflower Oil, Essential Oils of Bergamot, Patchouli & Cedarwood, Distilled Water, Cambrian Blue Clay, Indigo Powder, Activated Charcoal.
This soap is a coconut-free and palm-free option; however, it was not made with dedicated, separate equipment. Though I wash all equipment thoroughly after each soap-making session, the potential for trace amounts of other ingredients always exists.
Note: Some essential oils aren’t recommended for use during pregnancy. If you are expecting, please consult with your healthcare provider before using any product containing essential oils.
